Pip Pop Party...

The other night I heard scrambling little footsteps running up the basement stairs... 3 little monsters emerged, bustin' out all sorts of what Hayden called "Pip Pop" dance moves...
(Where did they come up with this? Some of you may be asking yourselves. Just in case you were wondering... No, Rob and I aren't into watching "Gangsta" movies or rap music videos. The truth is, my kids really like this show on Discovery Kids called Hi-5, which is an adorable "little kid" show about imagination and singing. Well, immediately following Hi-5, is a not-so-adorable (in my opinion) show called "Hip Hip Harry", which is also meant for kids, where they teach them how Hip Hop dancing can help you solve problems in your every day lives. And some people wonder why the world is so messed up!?!
Apparently I need to work on turning the TV off after Hi-5...)

Year of Dates: June...

For our June date-night, Rob and I went to La Piazza on Larimer Square, an Italian street-chalk-drawing festival downtown Denver. It was amazing...









This was the coolest drawing of all, that is a mirror cylinder in the middle... although I think that the artist was probably trippin, if you know what I mean...

It was such a fun date, and the best part was that is was totally FREE!

On the Lake...

We always enjoy going to Aunt Mimi's house on the lake when we go home to MN. It's such a beautiful place! This was a shot of everyone cheering for their dog, Murphy, swimming out to rescue a stick...
I think we eat more s'mores in our 2 weeks in MN, than we do the whole rest of the year...
Sophie was always being toted around by one of her uncles. I think that she enjoyed the view from up high... and that they gave her pretty much whatever she wanted, especially Uncle Davy...
Hayden thought Mimi's boat was the best part of the trip. He even got to drive it...

White Hair Club..

Doesn't get much whiter than this... Afton, Ellie and Sophie were voted "The Whitest of Them All". I vote them the sweetest of them all, too. Maybe sweetness and white hair are on the same gene...?

Graduation...

PHS... you are rid of us forever! The Lammers have left the building and we are not coming back. I wonder how many teachers will be jumping for joy to know that they don't have to deal with another Lammers? (Yes, there are teachers that are still there that had ALL of us). Then again, I wonder how many teachers we pushed into early retirement over the years
(1986-2010)?
