When the boys are away... The girls will play...

Ana and I busted out the finger paints today. I was truly impressed that all of the paint stayed on the paper and her hands - I was expecting atleast a little on her face - but she was a pro and surpassed my expectations. I love to spend time with Ana while Hayden's at school and Sophie's sleeping - it's the only time in her life that she's the "only child" and she just eats it up.

Sophie

It seems like Sophie is growing right before our eyes - I can't believe how the last 2 1/2 months have flown by. Here are the latest pics from our little darling...

Assume the position...

Sophie is picky about the way she wants to be held while eating - what a lounger!!

Ballerina Lessons

Ana started a dance class a couple of weeks ago and she is just in heaven. She calls it her "Ballerina Lessons" - and don't try to tell her that it is called anything different. Here she is on her first day with her good buddy Brinley, do you think she looks excited...

Prima in the making...

Helping?

Ana loves to help me cook! But I think that most of her motivation is the tasting...

Mmmm... FHE Treats are the best!

The kids had a blast making their own sundaes for FHE last week - FYI don't let your kids use the whip cream dispenser without supervision - it's amazing how much comes out of that can in few seconds!

Precious Moments

We had the kids pictures taken when Sophie was 2 weeks old - they turned out really cute!

His father's son...

The other day, the doorbell mysteriously rang (Rob just happened to be outside working in the yard) - Hayden opened the front door and in slithered a baby bull snake. Hayden wasted no time in protecting the family - he picked up the snake and ran over to show the unexpected visitor to Sophie. Rob came in to see the "surprise" visitor and took these shots of our Crocodile Hunter in training. It was seriously hilarious watching the kids strike poses with a snake.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Our Labor Day getaway was to Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park to go hiking with our friends the Tanners on Saturday. We had a blast, and as you can see the day and the view was beautiful. Sophie went on her first official hike - she wasn't too fond of the baby backpack - but she fell asleep fast.
