Off and Running...
Well, not quite by herself... but she does not like to go slow, even with the push toy she tries to run and jump. I have a feeling that when she decides to go it alone, she will not be walking, she will be running...

Sunbathing Beauties...
Now that Hayden is in school all day... the girls will play. School started in mid August so we still have alot of summer to keep up with. We took off to the Aurora Reservoir with some friends, the girls loved the water and the sand...

Extended Family...
It seems that our family has grown by a couple over the last few months, Kali and Paige have become a fun part of the chaos in the Clark household on a regular basis, and we are so glad that they are. These are just some of the daily happenings when you get lots of kids together... Ana and Paige love to play doctor together, Ana is usually dead and Paige miraculously always brings her back to life. Sophie is all in favor of the action, she is always being hauled around in some fashion. This is one of her favorites. Cute girls. All of the girls love to help make dinner, it takes a little longer to get it done, but their satisfaction in the "helping" process makes it worthwhile. Goofball girls... Ana apparently put her bike helmet on by herself...

Our New Little Girl - post from Rob
Kari reluctantly caved and let me get our family a dog. As luck would have it, she is the perfect dog for Kari. In fact it is so perfect for her, that now Kari loves the dog way more than I ever thought she would. I guess I need to start looking for a dog that will like me better than Kari and the kids.
Kari's addendum:
Leave it to Rob to forget the details (amature blogger). Our new dog's name is Stella, she came with that name, but I really like it. She is a boxer, that is already house trained (a firm prerequisite). She is very timid with strangers, but loves the family and is so sweet with the kids, just letting them hang all over her while she lays there. She is totally low key and mostly just likes to lounge on her dog bed or follow me and the kids around the house. We got her from a family that travelled alot with the Dad's job and they couldn't take her with them, so we were lucky enough to find her. I really have found a soft spot for Stella, I'm not what you would normally call a "dog person", but you just cannot love Stella.

The Big She-bang...
So the big GNO will be October 9th, I reserved the cabin this morning. It will only be $10/person, so if you said you were coming, we're counting on you. Be sure to let anyone else know if you think they might want to come, have them call or email me so I can put them on the list. We will try to leave by 5pm on the 9th, meeting at my house to carpool. On the 10th, people are welcome to leave whenever, but it would be way fun if everyone wanted to stay and go hiking or something, and then head back in the afternoon. I'll email again when it's getting closer to the date and let everyone know the details.
These are the people I've heard from so far, I will plan on you coming unless I hear differently from you in the next week:

Girls Night Update...
So I think that we definitely have enough people that are interested to go ahead with the plan. I did just realize that General Conference is the first weekend in October, so 10/2 is out. So the new options are 10/9 or 10/23... if you have a real preference, please let me know so that we can have the most people come. Otherwise I will just assume that the same people that responded to the first post are still interested in coming no matter the date. I'm so glad that so many people want to come... It will be a blast! And please tell others, I don't want anyone to feel like they can't come.

GNO!!
So I'm planning the awesomest Girl's Night Out ever! I found a cabin rental in the mountains for only $150/night. So that means if 10-15 girls come, it only costs everyone $10-$15!! Since we have a reputation of staying out till the wee hours... we might as well stay the whole night, right?! We can all bring something for dinner and I will cook breakfast in the morning. I'm thinking 10/2 or 10/9. So leave a comment with your email address if you're interested. I'll book the place if there are enough people that want to go...
PS - If you have a nursing baby, come anyway, bring those cute little babes along!

The First of First...
Our little Hayden had his first day of First Grade - Crazy!! He was really excited and a little nervous, but he did great and is adjusting to a full day of school like a pro... We love you Hayden!
Star Gazers and Sky Skimmers...
My sister, Mindy, and her family came to hang out with us this last week. We had so much fun with them, touring the city, playing games, and just laughing. We spent one night watching the Persied's Meteor Shower - it was awesome!! The sky skimmers were the brightest I'd ever seen. This was us on the front lawn (Mindy was trying to evade the mosquitoes)... My niece, McKindra, she's such a cute girl...
T-E-A-M...
Rob's softball team got together for an end of the season party. It was really fun for us to get to know these guys and their families better... The wives gave out awards to each of the players; this was Rob's, he was quite proud that they would notice his skills...
Sophie's Summer Firsts...
FYI: Sophie has had an extremely sensitive gag reflex, thus she still cannot eat a lot of solid foods unless you want them to land back in your lap. But she is getting better and has tried a few of life's greatest treats this summer...
Oreos... Yeah, those are good! Creamies... Why didn't you give me these sooner??!! Oreos: take 2. Yep, I still love 'em.

The Last Harrah...
Utah was our last trip of the the summer - family reunion, new baby neice, a wedding that wasn't. That about sums up the trip. It was great to see my family again, we have been so lucky to see so much of them this year. Here are a few of the highlights of the trip...
Mud mongers: Hayden and Ace.
Sophie LOVES her Uncle Rob, this was just one of the many moments that she was hanging on him.
Sun worshippers in session...
I think that Ana was a fish in a former life, she would swim all day if you let her. And she has no fear, so ran right to the water slide and didn't stop going down all day...
Cousins are the greatest... nuff said.
We attended the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house, it was amazing!
And it wouldn't be a trip to Utah without a tea party with Nona...

Pedi Party...
The kids and I went out to Utah for a family reunion a couple of weeks ago; all the girls decided that we needed a little R&R, so we took off for a girls night at the pedi parlor... I love that my family and my in-laws are friends - it makes it so much fun for me to hang out with all of my favorite people at one time! Pedi Perfection!!
Slushies for Sale...
In case you are not fluent in Haydenese: "Slushies 50 cents; If you want 2 snow cones you can pay $1.00" He just had to make sure his customers were aware of the prices up front - no surprises at this slushy stand. Hayden took his business very serious, he even had a plan for slushy stand robbers: knock them down with the umbrella. Hayden raked in a whopping $8.00 on his first day and the next day brought in another $7.50. This crafty little entreprenuer even invested $5.00 back into purchasing more supplies so he could make more money in the future. That's my boy! The hired help went AWAL and we found her cruisin the streets with her posse.
