Austin and Katie's Wedding...

You know you're getting old when you're nephews and nieces start to get married...

I love this picture.  I my beautiful sister and her "little" boy...
I love weddings, because it means I get to spend some time with my parents.
I love you Mom and Dad...
I think that Sophie thought that it was her wedding day, she wanted to be in every picture...

This is the best picture...
I don't think that the other three got the message that it was a "crazy" picture :)

You're Only a Kid Once... You Gotta Play in the Rain...

The neighbors just had to join in the fun...

Here... Little Birdie...

Rob's sister gave the kids a membership to the zoo for Christmas this year, and they have really been enjoying it.  When they opened up the Lorakeet Adventure after the winter,
Hayden couldn't wait to get in there and feed the birds...

We love the zoo!

Rave Run...

Rob and I decided to run in the Rave Run this year with some friends.
It's a 5K fun-run at night, where they put lights and music all through City Park in Denver,
and everyone wears glow-gear and neon clothing...
    Getting ready to run...

 And we're off...
 At the finish line...
Since the race happened to fall on 4/20, you can probably guess what happened after it was over. This picture doesn't show the haze that hovered above the crowd...
As for us, we decided to have our after-party at Denny's :)

Fishing Derby...

We took our kids to the Annual Fishing Derby at the Wildlife Refuge that is near our home (we've lived here years... I can't believe that it took us this long to discover how awesome the refuge is)...

We enjoyed the day with our good, neighbor friends...
It's the only time of year that they let people fish with live bait, so the fish go crazy over it...
True to character, Hayden was all over any fish that was caught...

Fishing and crafts... fun for all...

Eggs for Easter, Finally...

I'm not sure why, but there are two (quite popular) holiday traditions that I really just don't enjoy. I really wish that I liked them, but I just can't make myself... carving pumpkins and dying eggs.  I know, I know... who doesn't like these quintessential American pastimes?  I think there is something wrong with me.

Usually there are so many other holiday activities that I would rather facilitate, that carving and dying just sort of get "forgotten".  But every once in awhile, I give in and let my kids enjoy having a normal Halloween or Easter.  This year was one of those times...

We sure do enjoy our Peeps every year though...

Porch Painting...

Drawing on the sidewalk is only entertaining for so long...
When left to their own devices, it's only a matter of time before water is added to any activity...

Hayden Turns 10...

When Hayden loves something... he really loves it.  I think that this is the third year in a row that Legos have been included in his birthday party.  But hey, who doesn't love Legos?
This year, Rock Band was also added to the activities.
These guys were so stinkin' cute and hilarious....
 Concentration at it's finest...
I even tried my hand at it.
Needless to say, none of my children get their musical abilities from me...
Ana, Soph, and Kindra were sure not to be left out either...
This was the best part of the whole party (in my opinion).  Hayden has a good friend who shares his love for the show Duck Dynasty (apparently they even play DD at school, pretending they are Uncle Si and Willie. Ha!).  So Hunter made Hayden a DD birthday card... I should have taken a picture of the inside, he drew a maze that said "Help Willie find Jase".
We all (the adults) died laughing...
I can't believe how many candles are on my "little" boy's cake...
Love you, Hay-Dawg!

Ana Turns 8...

Gotta love being woken up on your birthday...
 Donuts for breakfast, by request...

Surprise!!
What 8 year-old wants a snake for her birthday?  Ana Clark...
The newest member of our family, Regis, the ball python...
    Balloon rocket races...

  And mini volcanoes...
Fun was had by all...
