Birthday tradition: getting woken up for cake in bed (thus the sleepy faces).
Cake for breakfast... you have to start out the sweetest day of the year the right way.
Off to the Dinosaur playland with friends...
Dad brought home a pinata, nothing's more fun than beating on something till candy flies out... hit it in the kisser, Ana! (Notice the outfit - you get to wear whatever you want on your birthday, right?)
And a new skirt, fit for a princess... birthdays don't get sweeter than that.

Kari, you seriously are such a fun mom. I love that she got to wear whatever she wanted and start out with cake--that picture is hilarious! So what about your birthday? No post about that? :) Didn't Rob get a pinata for you too?
No, no pinata - it was a pretty uneventful day (fast sunday and superbowl sunday - can't compete with that). But we did go out for dinner the night before, so that was fun.
Love the Cake in Bed tradition...wish someone would give that to me on my birthday!
